NLP - The Language of Influence

Access higher level skills and make influencing

with integrity a reality.

A one day workshop exploring language and leadership to build credibility and emotional connection

Influencing with authenticity for communications professionals

If it is part of your role to:

Influence and guide clients, colleagues or teams

Inspire, motivate and build trust in non-hierarchical working relationships

Galvanise others to achieve results quickly,

Find out your 'True North' of influencing and what has to be true for you to influence others successfully and sustainably.

We think of influencing as what we say and do in a given moment. This is only part of what we bring to bear in a conversation or given situation. There are a number of powerful factors that drive our behaviour - and it is these that can have the greatest effect in delivering the results we want.

This workshop will help you learn:

  • Powerful language skills for exploring and inspiring
  • How to steer energy and focus away from problems and towards outcomes and solutions
  • How to navigate difficult conversations and balance four important influence styles
  • The best practices of top leaders and how to focus on interests not positions
  • How to explore other people's needs at deeper levels to make real progress

We invite you to join us for a day of inspiration to help you leverage your expertise and influence others to work with you more effectively.

Our approach combines theory and practice from Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Linguistics, Communications Psychology and Authentic Leadership.

Further information about us and our open programmes is available at open workshops

Susan Mayor Medical Communications and Fruitful Conversations

Susan Mayor and Deborah Goodall of Fruitful Conversations offer these joint initiatives to provide communicators and business leaders, particularly in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, with communications development in a leadership context.

Our latest programme of open workshops is now available and focuses on writing excellence, the language of leadership and the mental strategies that underpin successful communication at work.

We combine the highest levels of practical journalistic skill with communications psychology, authentic leadership, NLP and cognitive linguistic learning.

Once equipped with a greater understanding of the interplay between language and cognition – and the beliefs and values that drive your own and others’ communication – you can:

Inspire, persuade and motivate colleagues and clients to work with you more effectively

Understand more of what is important to others before you act

Generate the results you want through writing excellence or when talking with people

Relate genuinely to wider audiences including via the media – in both proactive and reactive situations

Our approach combines theory and practice and helps you:

Use the kind of language and leadership that build credibility and emotional connection

Draw more explicitly on some fundamental processes that underlie all speech and writing

Understand how we process and relate to information before we will act on it

Learn how to use language more specifically to guide and focus thought.
